I am a mule fan and the Packard mule is, by far, my fave in the OKC metro. The atmosphere on the roof is fun and even when it's hot the bar is there to cool You down. The plastic chairs freak me out a bit and I'm certain, at some point, I will see someone fall to an injury on one of these things. I'm telling you, I don't lean back in them. The food is fair- we chose a few items that were unremarkable, a salad, red fish, crab balls

Good was excellent, service sucked! All the food tastes great, Mac and cheese was amazing. I ordered a salad, specifically asked a question about the chicken portion size and he completely forgot to add the chicken to my salad order, took 15min to get it and by then my salad was gone. We were completely ignored by our waiter almost the entire time. Finally took our check up to the bar tender to have him cash is out and our server said NOTHING to us! So disappointed. Ps, a disclaimer about the watermelon sorbet being salty would have been nice. Thanks a lot, Shane M.

Bartender, Karen, was perfect. Drink menu is spectacular. Vibe is trendy without the pressure. Food is on point, portions are appropriate so you can clean your plate. They provided our birthday girl with her pick of free dessert. My filet was cooked perfectly!

Love this restaurant! The atmosphere is nice while still being casual. My husband and I split the spring forward wine flight and artisan cheese. They were both delicious! I had the breakfast club and my husband had the potato and vegetable soup and ordered the Philly to go. I could only finish half of my sandwich bc the obviously house made onion rings (side to my breakfast club) were amazing and the artisan cheese filled me up. We reheated our sandwiches for dinner and couldn't have been happier. Delicious! This is a must try and try again restaurant!

Rooftop patio? Check. Cheese plate? Check. Craft cocktails? Check. Cool midtown location? Check. What's not to love about Packard's?! I can't believe I haven't reviewed Packard's since some of my favorite memories happened here, including my last date night before my first child and my 30th birthday. Both times the staff treated us like royalty and made the special events that much more special. I've also been here for happy hours (inside and outside) and they always strike the perfect balance of accessible without stalking. The drinks are phenomenal but can add up like they do at any craft bar. What's really great about the food menu is that you can have a great meal without breaking the bank if you're careful, making it a great place for a diverse group. Don't miss the crab beignets appetizer or the cold brew old fashioned. Those two alone are worth a trip to Packard's!

The food here is really delicious. I had a sandwich here and it was amazing. I really liked the environment and it had lovely service. I appreciate the big windows so you can see the city!

I have been wanting to come to Packard's for a nice dinner since we went to their opening back in February. I kept hearing amazing things from people all over the place, so I expected some pretty delicious food and some yummy drinks. But my night was not what I had imagined it would be. Any time we had a question, wanted to get a drink, order, or pay, we had to flag down our Joseph Gordon Levitt look-alike waiter. We had a group of 10, but JGLLA didn't seem to take into consideration that we were the first table when you came in the door. It's a pretty heavy traffic area, so when he was talking about the specials of the day at the north end of the table, those at the south couldn't hear what they were. I first tried to order the special because it sounded awesome. But what I had heard and what the special actually was were not the same thing. So, I ended up ordering the red lentil curry and adding chicken. I also put in my order for a glass of wine. While the place had several tables, they weren't packed, so I didn't understand why I hadn't received my wine long after everyone else at the table had. We finally got JGLLA's attention and I jokingly asked if they mashed the grapes in the back. He laughed and went off, as if he was going to grab my glass. Alas, I had to flag him over again because apparently the joke went over his head. The second time I just asked him if I could get my glass of wine. I also had to remind him of what I had ordered. When we finally received our food, because this too took longer than one would expect (even from a nice restaurant) it wasn't hot as if it had just come off the stove. It was rather luke warm. While the overall curry was pretty yummy, my chicken with seared so much that it had a burnt aftertaste. The person next to me had the salmon, completely black on the bottom. The person next to him had ordered the appetizer special for that night, the duck heart, which was also burnt. My significant other really liked his pork tenderloin and had no complaints. So, 1/4 of the entrees weren't burned! That's good, right? While I was expecting the price we paid before going in, I didn't like paying it because the price just didn't fit the experience. Someone mentioned that this place was pricey and "ya get what you pay for!", but I definitely didn't get when I paid for. Our dining experience took much longer than we had expected. We showed up at 7:30, but didn't leave until 9:30! I won't be coming back to dine for quite awhile, partially because there are many other establishments in OKC that I want to try or go to again. But also because the price and seared food and forgetfulness just don't fit the bill. All that being said, I do love the rooftop. It has a great view, plenty of seating, and a bar with some fabulous bartenders. And some of the appetizers can be pretty yummy (most of our party didn't like the hummus, but I did). I don't remember the pricing, but while it is a little higher end than Grandad's would be, it's not too over the top, depending on what you order.

This place is our go to for family brunch, but I am disappointed on the chicken biscuit, too dry, there should be a sauce or a lot of melted cheese with it. Do you know the whole restaurant only has TWO high chair ?

A little bit hipster meets a little bit farm to table to create a great place for brunch, dinner, or drinks. I have been on a few occasions for both dinner and brunch and have never been disappointed. The service, even when they are busy, has always been great. Their food is both original and delicious, taking a slight twist on the traditional, while not being too far out there for my picky eater husband. I am not a big cocktail drinker, but this is one of the few places that I will order a mixed drink instead of wine. Their cocktails are original and fresh, a must try if you visit. I have heard they have an awesome rooftop for happy hours but I have not made it up there yet. Definitely add this place to your OKC bucket list.

I came here as the result of a work meeting I did not set. I admit I would have never tried it otherwise. I am a big boy. I like big boy portions. That being said, I was very disappointed in the $11 Mac & cheese. It was delicious. The service was incredible. The atmosphere was interesting and very modern, as is the trend with the area. I would highly suggest this stop to all of my hip foodie friends. I would not recommend this stop to my fellas that like a heaping helping of their culinary goodness.
(3)Willie W.
Loved the rooftop experience here! Loved the pricing of the drinks on the rooftop! Loved the music and the atmosphere on the rooftop! Ok, enough of that, my buddy and I rolled through here after having a few cocktails at Broadway 10 (see other review) and this was actually a nice hidden OKC gem. We didn't stay long and didn't eat anything but I will say that the vibe was on point, as well as the cocktails and music. I definitely plan to visit again and definitely plan to write a lengthy synopsis as well....LOL

My boyfriend and I come here usually every time after we got to church at Front Line. The orange juice/mimosas are TO DIE FOR. It's the freshest OJ I have ever had. Their breakfast burrito is also amazing... matter of fact... I have tried SO much on the menu and it is all incredibly fresh and delightful. The only negative about this place is it is a little too pricey, and you usually have to make reservations. Overall... it is a great brunch place.
(4)Josh F.
So good, Packards always has something for you. And their Wine Flights are amazing.
(4)Addison G.
Great spot for dinner. I had the filet and my wife had the Duck Mac and Cheese when it was on the menu (awesome dish, I wish they always had it on the menu). Our service was great and overall it was a good meal. I'd like to check them out for brunch, I've heard a lot of good things.

We were in OK City to view the Memorial and we had driven by this place on the way there. The building and décor looked really cool. We walked from the OK City Bombing memorial and it was very scalding 99 degrees so we were hot, thirsty and hungry. Upon entering we were eagerly greeted and we had just missed the lunch rush....so, tables were getting cleaned off. Since we had 5 members in our party, we had to wait for them to get a few tables together. Upon ordering, it took a while to get our grub, but certainly well worth it! I had a house salad with grilled chicken, which sounds pretty plain, but it was yummy! Would definitely recommend to anyone that is in the area.

Great: Catherine, our waitress. The pepper jelly with grapes. The windows. Decent enough: ribeye with fingerling potatoes. Cheese board although some cheese ounces seem to have sat out too long -- dried out and absorbed odors of other items. Of lesser appeal: the doll sized tin chairs. The cluster f*ck of Desperate Housewives of OKC that klutz and clomp in heels they can't handle heading to bar. the hostesses who, even as you share that this is your first time eating there, sits you at the ONE table you asked to not be seated at. 6:10 on a Wed folks. Place was 60% empty. As our table was a mere breadstick length away from hostess' desk and front door, we saw several couples wander in, announce they, too, had no reservation and be given the exact booth we asked for.
(3)Emily D.
Terrific brunch spot. I could eat the crab beignets non stop. The eggs Cochon were pretty dang yummy too. Made the mistake of going around church time so the parking lot was kind of a headache.
(4)Matt V.
I had such amazing service and loved the atmosphere at Packards! Then I received my food and it looked amazing too! So I jumped in and what I ordered wasn't very good. I decided to go with the special of half a rack of ribs with coleslaw. First time I have ever ordered ribs without potatoes, but I figured "ah no big deal". My big complaint was that the ribs were more fat than meat. Pretty much a bummer that my coleslaw was the main event of my meal. Still Wondering if I should give Packards another shot or not. I might just be inclined to just have a drink at the bar and that's it.
(3)Anna P.
Another new trendy hipster place. Industrial metallic decor, which looks cool but doesn't make for the most comfortable chairs. Get a booth if you can. I had the duck confit hash, which had AMAZING duck, mixed with peppers and onions and hash browns, topped with two over easy (very easy) eggs. Normally I salt my eggs before even tasting them--really glad I didn't this time: the hash was pretty salty so the eggs helped neutralize. My date got the biscuits and gravy, which was good but could've used more gravy. He and I were both raving about the honey maple tasting bacon, nearly as good as the bacon at Kitchen 324. They do have a Bloody Mary bar here with a decent amount of options, which might have to try next time. They were sadly out of Apple cake, which kind of bummed me out.

Wow, Packard's. I have never been treated so condescendingly at a restaurant before. Thanks for being that "winner." So, my tip for Packard's is that there's not much in the way of vegetarian options. The special of the day was fancy mac 'n cheese, but it came with duck confit and since I'm sure that's prepped in a vat, they couldn't take the duck confit out. There is exactly one dish: red lentil curry. I ate a lot of Thai take-out last week, so I was not feelin' it. It was either salads, which c'mon, I don't eat out to eat a salad, or modifications. So modifications it was. I noticed the burger had the option to come with cheese and a fried egg. So I figured, "Eh, a cheese and egg sandwich won't kill me" and ordered that. I specifically said, "I would like the burger without the patty but with cheese and egg instead." What came out was a plate of fries, one egg, and four slices of cheese. I was so shocked over how stupid it looked. I told the waitress that my order was wrong and explained that burger without the patty still meant a sandwich. She told me that I did not say that and pretty much implied it was my fault for so silly of a dish. Um, guys, doesn't that break one of the essential tenents of customer service? My dish thankfully returned quickly but not by my waitress but by someone who I think might've been a manager. She told me that I could've asked them to vegetarian-ize anything I wanted. Which, you know what? I DID, and they failed horribly. She was very snotty and talked down to me like I was a child for daring to order a sandwich without meat on it. I suggested that instead of leaving it up to people to vegeterian-ize "whatever they wanted," that they consider adding more than 1 veg option to the menu. Their menu is seasonal, so it's not like I was asking them to break their backs. She rolled her eyes and said I could just modify. Again, why would I trust them to modify after my modification went wrong? I also didn't care for the fact that condensation from the pipes drip on you during the meal. That was icky and gross. At least 4 people in our party of 10 mentioned getting dripped on. The food was decent once I actually received what I ordered, but after being spoken down to by multiple members of the staff, I have no desire to come back here for dinner. Maybe I'll come to the rooftop bar and get drunk and forget that I'm there. That's probably the only way I'll come back. I expect that they don't want me to come back, since anyone with particular diet inclinations are clearly unwelcome.

Love this place! My favorite mid-town restaurant. We've tried the specials, the pasta, the burgers...All fantastic food. Keep an eye out for the specials board. If they have ANY sushi special up there, grab it. Their fish is amazing. Fresh and tasty. Great cocktail menu. I'm not a big drinker, but they have very flavorful and unique choice. Give something new try! My favorite thing: The cheese board. Every time it's a different set of cheese, paired with a unique jam and some fruit. It's my girlfriend and my favorite app in the city. The Sunday brunch is great. I have ordered a couple of different things and they all have been great. Can't go wrong! The goods: 1) Fantastic food 2) Creative menu 3) Cool drink selection The bad 1) Pricey. Hey, ya get what you pay for! Totally awesome for dates. Great atmosphere and a wide variety. If you plan on going on Friday or Saturday night, you need to have a reservation, it gets packed! Haven't been up to the 2nd floor, but I hear it's pretty awesome too.

I really dug this place. It has that modern vibe thing that all of these hip places seem to have right now. Which I should say, it might be a little played out, regardless the food was great. I was there on a Saturday so I had brunch--I got the chicken biscuit which I thought was really good. It has pimento cheese on it which is also one of these weird affectations that seem to be happening--again though it was tasty. The bacon was awesome. i got a cold brew coffee which was also quite good. I will go back--good stuff.

This place is just a joy to be at. I think it's the combination of a cool space in the restaurant, great unique food, and the top notch service. Then the awesome roof patio is just a bonus. I have only tasted dishes when someone else gets them at happy hour, but everything I've tried has been good. The restaurants drinks aren't outrageously priced, and you can get great drink specials on the roof.

As I'm writing this, I'm making a poor life decision and eating a sausage, egg, and cheese burrito from McDonald's. My expectations when it comes to McDonald's are low. So, this burrito isn't that terrible. Why am I talking about McDonald's in a review for Packard's? Because, I think people that are going to eat there should have the same expectations. Keep it low, friends. I've read through some of the 4 and 5 star reviews for Packard's and I'm literally dumbfounded. Packard's is TRULY that good? "That's a negative, Ghost Rider." ^That should really just be my review...but, I'd be doing all of you a disservice if I didn't voyage into a little rampage mode. Okay, let's get all of the good stuff out of the way first. The look, the feel, the vibe, the location are all winning at life. It's just a really cool place to hang out...for drinks, maybe an appetizer. The rooftop is pretty damn cool as well. Seriously, I've said it once and I'm saying it again, "who in the hell doesn't enjoy drinking on a rooftop?" And now...the rant. Seriously, am I the only one that seems to be ordering bad food here? Before I first visited Packard's, I checked out the reviews and thought, "seems legit." Well, I gotta say...there has been nothing legit about the food I have had. I'll give one example to keep this review from turning into a book. It was dinner time, I wanted the Crispy BBQ Chicken sandwich, without the red onions. Some minutes and a beer later...sandwich comes out and this is my FIRST thought: "Someone threw the ingredients for this sandwich off the roof and someone else was on the ground catching them with my plate." I remember that thought clear as day. I was so astonished that it literally looked like someone took it out of the trash and put it on my plate. Well, I decided to try it anyway. (Maybe that's how Packard's makes the sandwich, who knows?) I swear to you the chicken tasted like someone had dipped it in olive oil right before they put it on the plate. The grease was so intense, I could only muster 3 bites. Of course, it came with the red onions that I didn't want and was loaded with what was really an unnecessary amount of cheese. The service has been hit or miss every time I've been. The servers aren't rude...they just seem to forget about their tables sometimes. I'll probably end up coming back, but I'll stay away from the main courses and stick to the appetizers and drinks.

I had a business lunch there today. Was greeted by the owners. I tried their special which was a pulled pork sandwich along with Parmesan fries. It was very good. My table service was very good also. I liked the decor of the restaurant. Also the dedicated parking lot across the street was appreciated. I am giving a strong 3 but this maybe a 4 restaurant. Unfortunately I only had time to eat here once. I recommend!!
(3)Ashley O.
Went there in February with a friend...I had the Crunch berry french toast with bacon and fruit. 1. The french toast was underwhelming. No flavor or crunch berries. But the house made whip cream...delightful it was!! 2. The bacon was awesome! 3 thick slices! Loved it! 3.The fruit brought out with it was very fresh and delicious! I would go again but try something different.

Due to hearing all the hype about this place, I decided to celebrate my birthday here. I would say, I wasn't too pleased with the food. I ordered the burger and my sister ordered the fettuccine. First, the burger didn't have much taste to it (all I could taste was the tomato spread). The fries were the best part of my meal. Secondly, the fettuccine was bland. It tasted like dough with some sauce, which I wasn't able to recognize (they said vodka sauce). Aside from the food, the rooftop is amazing! We went on the perfect night just to hang out outside. There was a small cool breeze, the lights hanging helped set the mood, and we were able to look at the lit buildings downtown. I would just come to hang out in the rooftop, but I wouldn't be too excited about the food.
(2)Michael C.
Took my wife here for her birthday. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff are super nice. Get the fried Brussels sprouts while they're in season. Their cocktails are great, and the even make mocktails for those that are with child. Also Mark is a fantastic waiter. He's got a super sweet sleeve tattoo and cool glasses. You can't miss him.
(5)Laura H.
I'm a little perplexed with Packard's. Everything about this place was 5 stars for me, except for the food... Let's start with the positives. The location, parking, service, atmosphere, décor- all fantastic. Our server was sweet and kind. Then came the food... I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. It came with a paltry amount of hash browns and hollandaise sauce that was borderline cold. My tablemates ordered the sourdough pancakes and bacon, egg, & cheddar biscuit. I tried a bite of each, and while their dishes were just fine, nothing blew me away. I guess I should've wondered why the young church crowd across the street opted to bypass this place when their service let out. Isn't Sunday brunch after service, a thing? Maybe I need to come back next time I'm in town, and try their dinner menu. Or perhaps just stop in for drinks and appetizers on the rooftop.
(3)Todd B.
I came for lunch as I am new to the area and was looking for something a little more upscale than the typical OKC restaurant scene. The decor was hip and lively. I ordered the Brussel sprout appetizer and the Spinach salad. The Brussels were amazing with the bacon, peppers and cashews. Though nothing special, the salad was good too. I will definitely be back again.
(5)Mistyday H.
Better block roof top party was so, so so cold. However the better block punch was amazingly good. I could drink that everyday! A day later & I'm craving that! I imagine had the whether would have been slightly warmer it would have been more people. The rooftops stage for the performers backdrop was the okc skyline. Very sexy. Despite the cold on the rooftop, inside Packard's was warm and packed. It seemed as if every table had some kind of soup. I loved the center cut pork chop just didnt understand the price for the chop. I felt it was a little overpriced. If ever there for weekend brunch you have to order the steak n eggs! For lunch I would suggest the fried lasagna. I know right. So worth tasting its a savory mouthful. The bartenders and staff are always helpful and pleasant!
(5)Jeremy K.
The Mac and Cheese was out of this world! We had the watermelon sorbet and it was not edible. It taste like a whole bag of salt was dumped on it. The worst part was our meal was the waiter. His name was Shane M. We were ignored the whole time while the table next to us was constantly being taken care of by him. Then when a group of girls showed up he was flirting with them having a good time. Took 15 minutes to get a check and another ten to pay. Food was great service not so great. Also the place was not busy at all.
(2)Jim M.
Stopped in for lunch while on business. Great food and service. Worth a try if you are in the area.

I've been to Packard's twice now: once for drinks in the evening and once for brunch. Both times were pleasant experiences. My evening experience consisted of plentiful delicious cocktails and a fabulous bartender. Unfortunately no food was involved so I can't comment in that department but I can confirm that I had some wonderful drinks. My last and most recent experience was for Sunday brunch this past weekend. We arrived around 10 a.m. without reservations and were seated upon arrival. Our incredibly pleasant and attentive waitress greeted us and took our drink orders. I ordered a Bloody Mary, which I honestly didn't care much for because it had some kind of sweet flavor to it. My mother ordered a mimosa and it was the perfect combination of OJ and champagne. For my meal I ordered the vegan tofu scramble with hash browns. I am normally not a big fan of tofu but I ordered this because it was the only vegetarian item on the menu and I was not disappointed at all. It had a wonderful flavor to it and the hash browns were delicious. The large amount of fruit served with it was an excellent compliment as well. They also offer a different frittata weekly, which is what my mother ordered. It consisted of bacon, mushrooms, cheeses and herbs cooked in a personal skillet. It looked incredible and I was told that it was. I was very pleased to have tried a new place for brunch and I will absolutely be back. The restaurant is open and airy and just a wonderful place to sit and chat with friends. I look forward to trying Packard's for lunch or dinner.
(4)Richard B.
Great brunch. Bloody Mary was fantastic. Tasted like it had fresh tomatoes in it. Bacon wrapped asparagus was pretty tasty. Dinner was nice too. Maybe a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. It's a "I'm treating myself" kind of place. Way hip too.

What a find! @packardsokc has such a great vibe going on. The bar was packed the entire time we were there, and the food was quite delicious. There was a new bar tender training when we were there, and I ordered the honey pepper bacon old fashioned, expecting true deliciousness, because who doesn't love bacon + bourbon?? Well, the drink came out and I felt like I was drinking watered down orange juice. The waitress was really great, because I told her I didn't like "sweet" drinks, so she asked me to taste it, and taking one look at my face she swooped in, took the drink, and said she'd remake it. The second round was a bit better, but still not anything I would want to drink, and I couldn't taste a hint of the bacon. I ended up switching to Macallan neat, which came with a giant ice cube in it. I didn't have the heart to send my drink back a 3rd time, so I just scooped it out and proceeded to drink my delicious Macallan. Now on to the food...my husband and I shared the mussels appetizer, which was delicious! Who doesn't love mussels cooked in a garlic wine sauce with some crusty bread to sop up all that deliciousness? For dinner, I had the filet minon and my husband had the fried lasagna. My filet was good, but sort of run of the mill, although the brussel sprouts that came with it did have bacon on them, so I was in my happy place. The fried lasagna was out of this world!! It came on what looked like 3 oversized wontons, with shrimp, slices of tomatoes, basil and cheese melted on top. It was heavenly without having that terrible starch, overstuffed feeling that true pasta lasagna can give you. I want to come back just to have one of those delicious dishes all to myself! mmmmm!

I know this may shock you guys, but so far I've only been to the bar @packardsokc. I just couldn't leave the beautiful bar. Manned by the master himself: Austin expat, mustache-rocking, leather apron clad, infusion creator, rosemary singeing (not to be confused with smudging) Joshua. If you're still not sure who I'm talking about, just do yourself a favor and go see for yourself. Any who, I went to the bar. After I poured over the menu for ten minutes, Josh just asked if I wanted to try something delicious. Um, yes. The answer is always yes. So he made me something that reminded me of a punch my mom used to make when I was a kid: something red (cranberry?) with something citrus-y (lemonade?). The difference being, the punch of my childhood did not pack quite the, um, well, punch. I don't know how he got enough booze in there to make even the best drinker in town feel a little flushed while keeping it completely smooth. I guess that's why he's makin' the drinks. So, I can say the menu looked great, and that upstairs patio has been calling my name softly for months. I think this actually answers a question I posed in a recent review as to why we can't have a truly wonderful New American restaurant in Midtown. I'll update this when I've had some food, but as far as the bar goes: solid gold, baby. Solid gold.
(5)Ashley D.
Just an update: Packard's has recently added brunch! Brunch is a welcome addition to the downtown scene. Their brunch is pretty traditonal, with a New American twist. We went and dined last Sunday. They start you off with an assortment of tiny muffins. My only complaint is that they were on a tiny, saucer-sized plate and for a table of four, they needed to give us more. They were good though. For my entree, I got their bacon and egg biscuit, which has their house cured, deliciously salty bacon, a farm fresh egg, cheese, and jalapeno strawberry jam on a homemade biscuit. It was delcious! I was worried about it being a bit too small of portion since it was on a standard sized biscuit, but it was served with a very hearty side of fresh fruit and also hashbrowns, so I was satisfied. My hubby ordered their chorizo biscuits and gravy and they were delish! Fluffy biscuits with a very generous helping of their creamy chroizo gravy. He ate every bite, and I requested a side of gravy for my bland hashbrowns (which I expect them to change soon). We also shared a side of sourdough pancakes, which came with 2, for $2.50. I thought this was a very unique offering. I mean, who has ever had sourdough pancakes, especially in OKC?! They had a distinct sourdough flavor, different from buttermilk. They were extremely light and had nice air bubbles in them. They offer 4 different kinds of syrups, but we decided on maple butter syrup and it was delightful. In addition to their regualr cocktail menu, they serve Bloody Mary's and mimosas. I ordered a mimosa, which was yummy. It had more champagne than OJ, which I appreciate, but it was $4. While that won't break the bank, several other brunch spots in the close vicinity offers them for $2. The manager told me though that they are going to revamp the brunch cocktails, so I look forward to seeing what they do. All in all, I am pleased with their brunch. Their service has leveled out since opening, and they take accurate inventory now and don't run out of everything. They always have managers walking around the floor checking on customers. I am still in love with Packard's!

Went here a few weeks ago and have been craving to go back again since. Awesome atmosphere with great food and drinks. Loved the rooftop bar as well; such a great view of our city!

Had high hopes for Packard's, but it'll be a while till we go back. I will give them the fact it was their opening week and I'm sure they were still working out the bugs, but still... If I'm spending this kind of money for a night out I expect things to be right. My wife's cocktail was misplaced and it had to be remade (full disclosure - they paid for the mistake). Our cheese board was pretty good, avoid the warm olives, and always ask the server for their recommendations.

After having dinner at 1492, (read my review), my wife and I went to Packard's after trying to hit another spot in town for dessert and drinks. That spot was jam packed, so we turned our attention elsewhere, and there was Packard's. Waiting for us. Calling to us. Inviting us in like an old friend. First off, the place was packed, but it was not obnoxiously loud. The particular clientele perhaps? Maybe. The decor is incredibly understated, very well done, and doesn't compete for the attention of the guests, but instead lends itself to the overall experience. The staff were all very friendly, but not in a "waitstaff" sort of way, but in a genuine FRIENDly way. We sat at the bar, and enjoyed a piece of Apple Cake, and a few tasty beverages. I'll get back to the cake in a moment. The bar staff was swirling about, serving and being social with the guests, cleaning as they went, prepping, making ready and overall working like a well oiled machine...no, not a machine... like a well coached team. Not being assumptively engaged in conversations, but definitely engaging the guests. And the drinks were spot on perfect. The cake. Oh. My. The cake. The menu says: "APPLE CAKE, Maple-Bourbon Creme Anglaise, Chantilly Cream", but what it should say is "APPLE HEAVEN CAKE FROM HEAVEN, with love, wonder and magic, and some more love." The creme anglaise was good, but what really stole the show was that chantilly cream. I could have eaten just that, en masse, and been perfectly fine. The cake was delicious, can't take anything away from the cake. It was moist, balanced, fruity but not overly sweet, and just delicious. Did I mention the chantilly cream??? While enjoying our after dinner relaxation, I noticed the couple next to us was having some heartier fare, and it all looked wonderful. I had asked the wife about her meal, and she was more than happy to indulge me. She had the mussels, and her description made me wish I had skipped previous dinner and come to Packard's instead. Nice folks. Turns out, they were the owners. There's something to be said about owners that eat at their own restaurant, and actually EAT, not just nit pick and hover over the staff. You'd have thought they were just regular customers, happy as all the others in the place to have a delicious meal in a friendly but more upscale place. Next time we go, it will most definitely be for dinner. And Apple Cake.

Had lunch there - loved the ambience and feel. Super cool location and building. Had the grilled chicken flatbread w. onion rings. The onion rings were great - fresh, delicious, well seasoned. I was not a fan of the actual bread and the dipping sauce. Very strong flavors and I felt it was overpowering. My friend had the fish tacos. They looked ok, I wasn't sure that I couldn't have done a better job at home. Would like to go back and try more stuff,

This is one of my favorite spots in OKC. It is the best kind of restaurant: great food in a comfortable environment that makes the food feel even more accessible. Solid solid Moscow Mule and ridiculously good cold brew coffee.
(5)David F.
Had brunch here. Had a great frittata with veggies and turkey. The coffee was good, as was the fresh squeezed orange juice. I haven't been to Kitchen 324 yet, so I can't compare it, but it was a good solid brunch in a great environment.

Last night was my second time to eat here and I have to say that both times I was generally satisfied! Last night, I ordered the mussels as an appetizers and those were out of this world! Not only do you get a giant bowl of mussels , you also get quite a bit of Andouille sausage as well which is a splendid bonus adding just the right amount of spice to the dish. And all of that was only $10. For my entrée I ordered the pork filet special and it was delicious! It came on a carrot puree topped with a blueberry sauce and accompanied by some amazing bacon brussell sprouts. You know that thing that French people do where they kiss the ends of their fingers and say something pompous like "Magnifique!" Well that's what I doing right now! Overall a very pleasant, casual Friday night dinner experience. But since I hate to leave any review without saying something negative, I will warn you against going up to the rooftop bar! It is full of pretentious people and they charge an exorbitant amount for the drinks as if you now have to pay them for the view they probably overpaid for. We ordered one round of drinks which included a PBR and a Hendricks & Soda and it was $16. Then I ordered 2 shots of Fireball (obviously we did not belong at this place!) and that was $13! That is insanity. While the view is alright, I would not pay $2.50 a drink for it! Save your money and go drink with some real people, somewhere less haughty!
(3)Tina L.
I had a great time here. The food was delish! We started out with the plated smoked salmon appetizer (soooooo good!). The ribeye steak was cooked just the way it was ordered. My chicken couscous zucchini soup was tasty too. I also ordered the caprese salad. I wish there was more mozzarella (only 2 slices) though. I loved the atmosphere. We went upstairs to the rooftop area after dinner w our glasses of wine. I highly recommend this place!
(5)Jenna R.
Service is awful. I never complain about service as I used to wait tables but it's pretty bad when I can sit here and write an entire review while waiting for a single glass of wine to be delivered. There are maybe a dozen patrons with a dozen staff members here. It is 5:30. Not busy. The young wait staff is wandering aimlessly not noticing their patrons. What are they doing? I tried to flag one down and they didn't even notice. Please bring me some wine. This review would definitely get better. :) Bizarre. As far as the food, meh. I've been a few times and it's just above average. Cool location, though.
(2)Shilah W.
I had lunch here with my girl. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich and it was so delish. Dan had the berry crunch French toast and I only had a bite but it was tasty of what I tasted. I will definitely go again.
(4)Alan K.
Wonderful experience. Stopped for Sunday brunch and greatly enjoyed it. Portions were very appropriate. Staff was prompt and very helpful. Loved the atmosphere. Would like to try there one evening.

Packard's. You're beautiful. The interior, classy and chic. When I step in I feel like I'm in another world. Service and staff has always been very lovely and accommodating... But the buck stops here. I have a small bone to pick with you Packard's! It's been preventing me from giving you that extra star. You remind me a lot of Kitchen 324 in this way and well. With the opulence of the space, I expect the food to possess some sort of a wow factor and I haven't reached that complete point yet. Kale salad- the assortment of my favorite things. So simple, yet the flavors all live together in perfect harmony. My gripe is that I wish the portion was larger! I try to duplicate this dish at home, but fail. Dip Trio- Sharable between two people. Pungent in flavor. I took it to-go once and could smell the garlic seeping out of the box. I wasn't a fan of the chips. As I type this I roll my eyes at myself. You probably are rolling your eyes at the screen this very moment too. Ribeye burger- Thumbs up for cooking it med rare. Some places are afraid to do this because of the health factors with ground beef and all, but I like to live on the wild side. It was a bloody mess for sure. It had no flavor to it whatsoever. The spicy tomato jam sort of lent a tang, but I was craving savoryness. This order came with a side of parmesan rosemary fries except... There was no rosemary flavor to them, maybe a hint of parm. :'''''( Home made pickle- life changing. For me anyway. I look forward to having it every time I come here. You took off two thing off the menu that I tried and didn't like so yay!. All in all, I don't hate you Packard's, but I don't love you. I look forward to dining here for dinner where I hope you blow my socks off. I haven't given up on you yet!
(3)Joshua L.
I can't get enough of Packard's. It combines the best of all that OKC has to offer; amazing mimosa brunch on the weekends with a great variety of spreads, great lunch and dinner choices. For a fun night out in the town there's their rooftop with one of the best views of Oklahoma City.
(4)Randy D.
Fun, local food with great building history about the Packard automobile. The food is fresh and prepared by a chef!!!
(5)Juju G.
I really wanted to love this place. The menu serves grass fed filet! I ordered the 8oz filet and my friend ordered the miso salmon. I also ordered a banana pudding for my son to snack on. By the way I had no idea this place was not baby friendly, oops. Anyways, my friends salmon was decent, but they overcooked my filet and didnt even ask if my steak was cooked medium rare or the way I wanted it after it came out. Most places ask to cut in the center to make sure it's cooked to one's liking. Packard's overcooked my filet, but did offer to make me another one which was also not cooked properly. I want to come back and try sitting at the bar and having a few drinks and snacks, but service is extremely slow here for me to dine in and eat.
(3)Kyle K.
Packards has all right things going for it; location, price, variety, friendliness and flavor.
(5)Sara J.
I have been wanting to try Packard's for a while now and today, I got to. We went for brunch and it completely surpassed my expectations - and my expectations were high. The decor was clean and modern - lots of neutral colors and natural light. The service was friendly and efficient and the prices were good. The food was amazing. My Husband and his cousin both got the pork burritos and were both going on and on about how delicious they were. I got my usual brunch fare, Eggs Benedict. It was served traditionally except they used pancetta instead of Canadian bacon. I got the hollandaise on the side because I like to use it sparingly - but that was hard today because the flavor was amazing. I am not sure what seasoning I was tasting in there, but that was the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had. The pancetta really added a nice twist to the dish too. It was served with hash browns and fresh fruit. The fruit really was fresh and crisp with tons of flavor. I would love to go for brunch again and try the tofu scramble, but first, I'm dying to try it for dinner and get my hands on their wine list. Can't wait to go again!
(5)Donna M.
Service was great. Food was mediocre. Three of our meals arrived cold. The steak was bland and over cooked.
(3)Matthew S.
I had heard good things about this place so I went in hopeful. First off, cocktails were excellent! BUT, I ordered the filet and when I cut into it in front of the server it was dry and light pink. I ordered medium rare. The server agreed it was wrong and sent it back. Some guy brought it back out to me and asked me to just try it and continued to argue with me that it was the lighting. How the lighting can effect a steak being dry or moist is beyond me. To their credit the manager did come and offer me another one and said they were wrong. But whoever the other guy was is very unprofessional and should consider a career not in hospitality. Needless to say I will not be back. Two others at my table got the ribeye and ate it because they were hungry from the wait but looking at it l, it looked like a walmart cut of meat- thin.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 The restaurant is huge. More on the upscale side and most people dress nice here, but they won't say anything if you're wearing something simple like a t-shirt, jeans, and flip-pity flops. The rooftop bar is one of the biggest Rooftop bars in OKC. Music is good and it's pretty happening every weekend night. If you want a slower, more chill mood, then go on a non-weekend night. There is also a bar in the main restaurant as well. My only complaint with the bars is that the rooftop bar carry less types of beers than the downstairs bar. Other than that, it's a great place to hang out. As far as the food goes, you can dine in the restaurant for the main courses and appetizers, which is not served at the rooftop bar however, you're allowed to bring it up there if you don't sit and dine downstairs as an to-go order (assuming you can find an empty table on the rooftop). Appetizers: I had the DIP-TRIO (Tapenade, Hummus, And Artichoke Dip With Toast And Tortilla Chips), & CAMPECHANA (Shrimp, Crab, Avocado, Cilantro, Lime, Tomato). 5/5 rating for those. Sandwich: I had a sauerkraut corn-beef type sandwich which was only okay. I rate it a 3/5. However, I don't see it on the menu anymore so I think they took it off. Good for them!
(4)Maggie F.
The reviews of Packard's seem very so-so, but I've had great experiences every time I've been. I've been for a few happy hours, and I love their craft cocktail menu. The rooftop is also perfect for a happy hour or get-together when if the weather is nice. I finally got a chance to try some of their food this weekend for brunch with some friends and again - good experience. They have $2 (small) and $4 (large) mimosas, and I also think you can get a carafe for $12. I had the fried chicken biscuit and it was really good. I loved the pimento cheese on it. Around me, people had the duck confit hash, breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy... everyone seemed satisfied. We had a super friendly, great server and all together a really good experience. The brunch was delicious and inexpensive compared to their dinner menu. I have heard so-so things about the dinner menu (mostly in relation to value for the price), but I'd really like to check it out sometime.
(5)Damian D.
I love the upscale atmosphere that Packards has going on. Everything is crisp and clean feeling when you walk inside. I would recommend the restaurant portion of this place to the sophisticated late 20's and older crowd. The drinks are really good but the food is mediocre, and to me over salted. They do have a special on Wednesday's for half price pasta with a keep it local card, but if you are looking for large portions on a budget you are barking up the wrong tree. I hardly come here to eat, but if your aim is to have a fun casual drink night with a group of friends I would highly recommend it. What really set's this place apart though is the rooftop! It has a patio-wedding sort of feel to it with the accent line of lights and wooden floors it is a nice place to be during the summer and spring nights. It is probably one of the best in OKC. It has much more space than O bar, and it has a more appealing look than Cafe Do Brasil. The wait for drinks can be a bit long when they are busy, but that is usual at most places. The staff is really helpful if you have any questions, and I usually have a great experience here.
(4)Samantha G.
After experiencing a very busy Friday evening at this place on the rooftop I was very disappointed with the service. The one bartender was very slow and I even asked her if she needed to ask for another bartender to come help her from downstairs and she said that she would be fine. Well it took over 30-45 minutes standing in a line with only 6 people ahead of me to get a drink. A lot of people actually walked down the stairs and into the restaurant (which is not just a quick flight down a stairs like a normal restaurant, the patio is above the area to the west of the restaurant) to order drinks. One of our friends even asked a waiter downstairs if we could order food and he said, we could but she would need to come back down to the restaurant to let him know what all of us wanted.. like she was supposed to be the waitress?? There was a waitress upstairs but she was only taking drink orders for the one bartender who was extremely slow. Granted this was a busy night on the rooftop but I would think they would be able to accomodate most of the small requests being made. I thought they might still be working out the kinks but after having such bad service, I'm not sure if you can. I still think the food is ok, and will give them another try.
(3)Elizabeth C.
Pricey! The rooftop is really fun for drinks after work. Younger crowd. The food seems overpriced, but maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Not desperate to return for a meal.
(3)Jim R.
Went to lunch at Packard's earlier this week. Love the space: open, clean, bright, airy. Had a cup of the ginger carrot soup and the Tat Soi (the asian salad). Both executed nicely. The soup was nicely seasoned and rich without feeling heavy. The salad had beautiful clean flavors. However, when I eat salad, I actually want to eat (not just pretend I'm eating) so a bit more greens would've been nice. The service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable (maybe a touch higher than the average lunch spot, but nice things have a price). I wasn't blown away, but I liked it. I'll definitely be back for both lunch and dinner.
(3)david g.
Eaten here three times. Fried lasagna, the burger, and brunch had the biscuits and gravy. Everything was excellent. I had good friendly service and loved the atmosphere. The Campechana appetizer alone is worth going in for... Amazing!
(5)Taylor W.
I love everything about this place. The wine flights are right up my alley no matter if I am in need of red or white wine. I love the decor and how I was treated the past two times I have visited there everything was sensational. The "Fried Lasagna" was suggested to me. Best idea he ever had. I want to recommend this place to everyone to try!
(5)Teena T.
It's like I could go from Kitchen 324 for breakfast/brunch and head over to Packard's for lunch/dinner and my day would be complete! I really liked the atmosphere especially with the rooftop bar and amazing view. The Pack Mule was a yummy drink that I'm sure will have me coming back for more! Foodwise - had the kona bites (perfectly portioned baos), campechana (delicious ceviche), and cracked caramel sundae for dessert! Can't wait to go back!
(5)Jonathan N.
Great place for brunch. Nice modern decor and a cool bar area. Service was quite slow and lacking. I think if we had a better experience this place would be a solid 4. Sourdough Pancakes - possibly my new favorite pancakes ever. The pancake was so freaking good. It had the thickness of sourdough but the fluffyness of a pancake. It is a pretty good size too so you should be full after. Verde Burrito - There is no meat inside the burrito. The verde sauce is not good and ruins the burrito so try it before you pour it over the burrito! Eggs Benedict - delicious. Cooked perfectly and tasted so good. I licked my plate clean after there was no more. Also, the hashbrowns were fantastic. Hard on the outside but soft on the inside. I will probably give this place another try when I am around but ask for a different server for sure. Great food and ambience but lacking service.
(3)Christopher S.
Have Taylor make your drunk.... Yea must do!
(4)Anna F.
This was a truly great brunch experience! I want to come back for another meal which is why I've reserved one star. They have a great brunch menu with plenty of options and the mimosas were just $2 which is pretty much the cheapest you'll find them anywhere. I had the pork verde burrito and thoroughly enjoyed it. My boyfriend had the bacon sandwich and though the bacon was a bit tough, the strawberry jalapeno jelly on the sandwich really made it special. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu and I love that they bake their bread fresh daily!
(4)Colin S.
A classy rooftop experience. Scenic views, great variety of draft beer, and some delicious appetizers. It's a great after work spot. Also have some of our new professional groups that meet at the rooftop. Two thumbs way, way up.
(5)Jim J.
Food was pretty good. They could use a little more work on their service and kitchen management. My wife waited a long time for her drink. By the time it was served everyone else had almost finished theirs. They were apologetic about the wait, but you would think that after that, they would be more attentive to assure we had a positive experience. They were not. Her food arrived a good 5 minutes after the others at our table. Again, we got apologies ... oh well. I might be the one to apologize that we will not revisit this place.
(2)Lisa P.
I loved your charcuterie course at the Starlight Supper tonight. The rillette was amazingly paired with the Big Daddy. I'm headed your way soon.
(4)Matthew G.
Hip, modern, and creative are the three words that come to mind when I think about Packards. The restaurant is in the old original Packard car dealership. The tile floor is from the original dealership, so we were told! The menu has some very interesting and unexpected twist on classic american cuisine. Many of the items are locally sourced and made in house. I started with the warm olives. If you like olives and garlic this is a great lite starter. For my entree I had the Grouper. I had never had Grouper before and I really liked it. The flavor is mild and it has great texture. The bar has incredible service and a great drink selection. They have all the typical drinks but also have several unique drinks. If you like bourbon, I recommend the Panhandler for a little something different.
(4)Jenna B.
Loved it. We went on a Saturday night around 7:30 & only had to wait about 5 minutes, with no reservation! (I know that's not normal or likely but we got lucky.) the food was yummy & came out quick! We got the bread & herb butter for an appetizer... It was on point! Try the angry bison cocktail.. Delish. Great atmosphere, perfect for a date night!
(5)Daya C.
I did not try the food here but I did enjoy the rooftop bar. The drinks were a little high priced for plastic cups. The view is great and they have music and lights which make the ambience nice for a hangout.
(4)Chris T.
"Stir the yolk to cook the egg, don't want to get Salmonella" Our waitress told me this when she delivered the food. A bit strange and unappetizing. I had the carbonara, friends had the steak and scallops special. Cheese and bread plate were nice. Food gets a "B". Service was prompt and attentive. Rooftop is excellent. Kinks of the last few visits all ironed out. Bartender is super, as are the views. Will be back for drinks upstairs for sure, dinner maybe. Not quite worth the price...
(3)Marshall M.
I was lucky enough to get an invite to a sneak preview lunch of Packard's a few days before they opened. They've clearly put a lot of care into choosing the tasteful surfaces, fixtures and seating. It's really beautiful in there. The menu has a nice assortment of apps/sandwiches/mains. I had the Pasta Ya Ya: Penne with chicken, andouille sausage and veg in a mildly spicy cream sauce. My dining companion had the Black Bean Beet Burger with Quinoa Salad. Both were very delicious. I live right next door to this place and anticipate that I'll be trying everything on the menu this spring/summer. They have a great rooftop deck that I hope turns into a frequent happy hour meet up spot. I recognized one of the bartenders and talked with him a bit about their planned cocktail menu...should be very special. All in all, a wonderful addition to Midtown. Welcome to the hood Packard's!
(4)Andrew B.
The location is great. The food is just meh. For the price ($50, entree and two apps) it was overpriced for the quality and quantity. My chicken was flavorless and very dry. The risotto was great but too little. The manager offered us dessert or drinks to make up for the bad chicken which was kind. I think folks come here for the bar and the rooftop. All the reviews I have read are mixed. I think this place wants to be something it's not or just misses the mark on what it could be. The decor of the place looks much more causal then it is too.
(2)Elaina O.
I found the service to be incredibly slow when dining here. The time it took to get drinks/re-order drinks was absurd given the size of the restaurant. I had the Hand-Cut Pappardelle Carbonara which was delicious. Several of my dining companions tried the Burger and we were less than impressed.
(3)Scarlet L.
The drink was good. Awfully small portion from the mussels, chartcuterie, bao bun, to main entree. I ordered the scallop risotto and the risotto was not cooked. Nice concept of restaurant but the food was just below a-ok. Dessert was super sweeeet. Coming back? Probably not for a while until they improve a little bit in quantity. Just a little bit...I am not asking a full "Oklahoman" size.
(2)Amber S.
The atmosphere was nice. Parking was easy. The cheese plate was great! The filet, mashed potatoes, and green beans were all good, and so was the fish. Everyone loved their food. The drinks were good. The service was good. Our waitress was friendly when we asked for separate checks and even took a picture for us. And apparently your meal is free on your birthday!

Monthly lunch date today with my daughter Robin, and Grandaughter Heather if she is available. We are promptly seated even tho we say Heather and 2 children may come a little later. To kill some time while waiting we order a bowl of Mussels. Whoa, is there an eccentric chef out there? The mussels are served garnished with saurkraut, and sided with some neat little rolls. Nonetheless they are very good, the sauerkraut actually compliments the mussels. A new one on me... The theme seems to be "be that clear Mr.Christian" There are tall clear water carafes on the table, clear water glass's, and the coffee is served in clear cups...Kinda novel. Heather and the children arrive. They are well behaved kids, no squabbling screeching or even leaving their seats. The food was fine, I had the Pastrami sandwich and onion rings. It was delicious and generously filled, the onion rings were thinner than shoestring, tastily breaded and served with a sweet oriental dipping sauce. Robin Had the Pork Sandwich that was also generously filled and served on a Kaiser style roll. Her side was broccoli salad which must have been good as she cleaned it all up... Heather had some really large salad that looked like it could be served up in a hub cap, she shared it with the kids who each had the soup du jour and ate it without comment.... I always fuss about the noise level, but at least all the noise here was due to diners chatter, not to TV or kitchen clanking, so I'll just make a low level bitch. I will complain about the stoic steeliness of the chairs. A little upholstery wouldn't hurt. Ending on an upbeat, the staff was courteous friendly, and efficient...
(4)Boudu B.
I only experienced the rooftop patio/bar. This place looks and should feel great but I think they are still working out some kinks. My experience was thrown off by the fact that they didn't do anything well. My card needed to be opened and closed a few times, when I asked about the beer on tap they didn't have any idea what was going on, the plate of cheese and crackers I ordered turned into a shrimp salsa and chips and the red wine came out of a tap. All that being said, they have a roof top patio that made everything great. The day was on the cooler side and there was a nice breeze. I don't know if it's required by law or they did it out of their own volition but the place is extremely varying-ablitity friendly (anyone with disability or super ability). They had ramps and elevators everywhere. This fact pushed them up to four stars.
(4)Sean M.
Excellent patio on the rooftop. Try the carrot/ginger soup...it's amazing!
(4)Shelly P.
LOVE everything about this place......except for the food. I've eaten there 3 times now and nothing has been amazing. I will say every appetizer we've ordered is great! However, the entree's are so-so. We ordered bacon, egg and cheese biscuits and THE BACON WAS RAW. That's crazy to me. First, that a place like this would have a chef who doesn't cook the bacon and second that noone looked at the sandwiches before they got to our table to clearly see raw bacon on them. Strange. A few weeks ago we had the pork chops and the mashed potato's had no substance and were almost runny. Other than that though, we love the rooftop, love the wine, love the ambiance and will be continue to go back because it's so close to our home.
(3)Sabrina N.
Really enjoyed going here on Friday night! The vibe was fun and energetic and the food was fantastic! I was lucky enough to try the desserts and specialty cocktails made with the New Prairie Wolf Espresso Liquor and I must say...Packard's did it right! Cant wait for the patio to open back up!
(4)Tracy F.
Quite a let down. The first appetizer was sent back as it looked to be no more than a small bowl of salsa surrounded by inexpensive tortilla chips. The veggie board was good except for the very thin, very oily pesto. The spinach salad was entirely too small with too few ingredients for the price. Size of a side, price of an entree salad. It was advertised as spinach/quinoa/strawberry/pecan/feta. I had to hunt for the quinoa and counted 6 strawberry halves . The salmon, was over grilled and dry. Not impressed with the presentation - plate arrived cold as well. Very disappointing.
(1)Jason R.
I thought the food was above average, but the menu feels like they are trying too hard (epecially for the price). The atmosphere is great and our server was very good. I've also been to the rooftop bar and had a great time.
(3)Jane T.
We tried to dine here once before on a quiet afternoon a month ago. They told us there would be 40 minute wait even tho the place was 3/4 empty at 5 in the afternoon. This time I called ahead with a reservation. We arrived early and there was only one table occupied, again and still they asked if we had reservations. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict, coffee and o.j. I ordered the sourdough pancakes and a mimosa. The offerings on board for cheese plates looked interesting but it was brunch we were after today. The service was good and attentive. The pancakes were very ordinary. Nothing to set them apart from I.h.o.p. after seeing and having everything from lemon-ricotta to pumpkin. It was just ordinary and nothing special. Bacon was so-so. Small strips, precooked. The coffee was weak and served in a French press but not French-pressed with grounds. I asked why they didn't source from Coffee Slingers or Elemental ( their nearby neighbors). They said the were a part of Interurban and their coffee source donated to a good cause????'! All I could say was, there are many good causes but not a lot of good cups of coffee. Eggs Benedict was overcooked and a very small portion of hollandaise dribbled on top. Fruit cup was also premade, and fruit was (strawberries) dehydrating on outside. Mimosa was ok. With Valencia oranges and other great juice oranges in season now, why wouldn't they do fresh squeezed! Whole Foods fresh was so good I've gone back several times while still in season. We will try a dinner there and see if it steps up to its claims for. Great meat, but as brunch goes, Fresh Start in Edmond ( a chain but pretty good one) is ahead on taste.
(2)J R.
We have seen this restaurant and decided to try it out. Arrived Saturday night @ 745, and were seated with no reservation. The mussels were good, and then we had salads. My wife had the Caesar, the waiter told us that they had a "reputation" for being a little salty. That's a HUGE understatement; salty doesn't begin to describe this taste. Imagine a salt-lick with croutons. Overall the ambiance and service was quite nice, but the total price of dinner did not corresponded to the quality of the food.
(3)Aarash G.
I want to like this place, I really do. Anytime I see a new restaurant open that is in this area and it has a modern, not what we are used to seeing in OKC look to it, I get excited. I hope that their food is good and that they have a successful business that stays open in our city for a long time. So when I was asked where I wanted to go to lunch for my birthday I took it as an opportunity to go to Packards. As much as I wanted to like the place, I couldn't. Their food was bad. I ordered the Sichuan Smoked Pastrami Sandwich with the Ginger Carrot Soup. My friends had the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Steak Frites. The Pastrami on my sandwich was not terrible, but it was extremely salty. I do remember really liking the pickles or pickled apples or whatever it was that came with the sandwich. The rye bread was not good and I ended up eating my sandwich without the bread. The Ginger Carrot soup was pretty bad and I only had a few spoonfuls. My friend that ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup was not impressed and said that he preferred Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. I tried the Steak Frites, which the menu description said it was angus beef tenderloin, but it looked and tasted like skirt steak. The fries were not good either. The service from our waiter was good and everyone else at the establishment seemed friendly and helpful. The design and feel of the restaurant is good and the bar area was very well designed. Packard's is a restaurant that will not survive in OKC long-term unless some changes are made to the food. The location is great and the decor and feel of the restaurant will not be the reason it will not survive, but it will be due to the food (which at the end of the day is why we go to a restaurant). We have a lack of "modern/hip" restaurants in OKC and I feel that we sometimes forget why we go out to eat at a restaurant. At the end of the day the food is the key and Packard's doesn't get it right. As more and more of these "modern/hip" restaurants open in Oklahoma City, it will be interesting to see what survives as our taste as a city evolve. We have come a long way in the past few years and seeing how our dining options have changed is something I am proud of. Our days of having to go to Chili's, Applebee's, etc. are over, but we have a long ways to go before we have restaurants that have the full package (we are far from Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Chicago). There will be many "Packards" that come and go until we are where I think we will be. Packard's is a step in the right direction, but it will not be a long term establishment unless some changes are made.

I'm only giving this place 3 stars because the atmosphere was nice. The food was a 2. I had a chicken vegetable risotto dish. All I could taste was gravy & the risotto was not cooked. My husband had the seared grouper with kale. When I ate the kale it was like I just ate a tablespoon of salt. The kona bites appetizer was the best thing we ate. I wouldn't be opposed to go back in a couple of months to see if they worked out their kinks...but with all the new places to eat it won't be anytime soon.

Located in the newly renovated Packard Building comes a welcome addition to the Midtown scene - Packard's New American Kitchen! Named after the eponymous fabled car of which this was once a showroom, it has been beautifully reimagined as a restaurant complete with a rooftop bar. The interior of this once abandoned building has been fabulously redone with modern touches but at once keeping a vintage feel, most notably the original black and white tile floor. The interior reminds me of a place you'd step into in SoHo for lunch and is helping to breathe much needed life to the burgeoning Midtown area. I have been here several times now and, like the interior, the food does not disappoint. They have a very eclectic menu and I've had the opportunity to sample a variety of things from their salads and sandwiches to a pasta dish. All were very well done. They even have a Kale salad! As a fan of a Kale, it is rare to find a great Kale salad. I opted for the addition of chicken once and the sirloin another time...you just can't go wrong! I actually overdosed on Vitamin K once and turned a strange shade of orange as a result of consuming too many green but that's a story for another day. Hi, my name is Charles and I have a Vitamin K addiction...thankfully Packard's has me (or any other health nut) covered! Their sandwiches are outstanding and all are on homemade artisan breads. I've had their smoked pastrami on their amazing pumpernickel bread and one of their burgers, that is more a cut of sirloin than your average ground beef patty. Absolutely amazing. Packard's attention to detail is also amazing from its interior to the presentation of its food. It is truly an example of how a restaurant should be run. Things like cloth napkins, chilled bottles of water to use as methods of refilling glasses and garnishes like daikon spirals show that the owners and staff truly care about making this a first class experience. My first visit was on their opening day and I was met at the door by their marketing manager Stephanie Ewing who gave me a warm welcome, went over the menu in detail, and, as a lone diner, a brief tour of the facilities! I don't like to use names in my reviews but feel it appropriate when I receive service of this caliber. So kudos to her and the staff in general who have made all of my trips remarkable experiences. The server from my last trip Kari should also be commended! She was attentive and kept my tea filled and was polite to a fault without being overbearing. Packard's is doing something right with their training program. Other restaurants should take notes. The downstairs bar which serves as a centerpiece of this restaurant and its rooftop bar are also two more additions that truly set this place apart from its competition. The rooftop bar is amazing and offers views of the entire downtown area and not to mention a host of inventive cocktails. This will surely become the best respite in the area to get away on a summer day and to soak up some sun and other sudsy beverages. I'm anxiously awaiting my next return to the rooftop bar. Packard's is not only a great place to eat but also as a destination for a day or evening of fun. Parking is conveniently located across the street on the south side of 10th, which makes this an easy choice when you're in the Midtown area.

Service was acceptable, but the food just wasn't that good. I had the steak frites, and though it said beef tenderloin on the menu it sure seemed more like skirt steak to me. And the fries were mediocre at best.

I've been twice. The first time was a Friday afternoon. We sat on the upstairs patio, which is awesome ambiance. Waitstaff was friendly. However multiple people at our large table had issues ordering drinks. We would order moscow mules and get pack mules instead. Two peolple would order margaritas and one would be in a large cup and another in a tiny cup. Drinks were good, just inconsistent. they won't let you order food for upstairs and seriously frown on ordering food to go and carrying upstairs. Not sure if they're going for ambiance or some sort of health code restriction (the patio is not directly above the restaurant). Tried to go once Saturday in the middle of the day with our son and only an abbreviated menu was available and again no food upstairs. Decor is great, but I think they have a few kinks that need to be worked out.

Packard... where to start... SCENE: Friday night around 7:30 pm. Restaurant is packed and noisy Hosts (a woman -H1- and a man -H2- looking a bit overwhelmed) Spika -S- and partner walk in feeling hungry H2 Do you have reservations? S No H2 Ummmm (looking down at his chart), waiting time is about 2:30 hours S (burst laughing) H1 (acting nervously) we have a booth but the next reservation is at 8:15 pm S (thinking... is she trying to tell me she can sit me but I have only 45 minutes to eat and drink so I might have to do it in a hurry??) H2 that will not work S (stare at both of them enjoying their interaction) H1 oh wait! We have two seats at the bar, quickly walks towards the bar with us So, after one exactly a minute and 30 seconds we got comfortably seated at the bar, ordered some drinks (IPA $6 and a Duke of Earl $10) following their weird discussion. Our waitress was fast and courteous, the service was quick even though the place was packed. After looking at the menu nothing caught my attention except my neighbors plate that wasn't on the menu and was the special nobody mentioned and I had to inquire about with my host. The vegetarian options were limited to one dish: seared Tofu Udon $15 which we ordered with the seared scallops special with crab risotto ($25). Was my dinner worth $65 dollars + tip? Not really. $45 would have been a fair price, the udon portion was very small, there were 3 cubes of tofu just like my dish had 3 pieces of scallop. Maybe Packard should increase the portions from 3 to 5, maybe it's good for all us so we stay fit considering other restaurants serve 1/2 pound burgers. Will I recommend this place? Sure, the crowd is entertaining, the service is courteous and we got a good laugh when we saw people eating on the side of the ramp (kudos for that! I mean the ramp access). The place is airy and fresh, so if you are comfortably paying an exorbitant amount of money for ok food, then go ahead and have fun. The upper terrace looks quite interesting, so I'll have to follow up.

Outstanding. With the Midtown area of OKC quickly becoming a great place to get quality food (see H&8th, Ludivine, Elemental Coffee), Packard's was another welcome addition to the area. The building itself is a very clean and neat "industrial vintage." Edison bulbs, restored tile floor, and wooden tabletops make for a very unique but comfortable dining room. I'm a bit of a sucker for the industrial motif, so I'm a bit biased. Also, the building has a rooftop patio, which I, unfortunately, did not get to enjoy due to time constraints. Looking outward from the bar, you get a wonderful view of downtown OKC. I tried Packard's on a Monday evening. All of the employees were very courteous and accommodating. I half expected the restaurant to be empty, but there were at least a dozen tables occupied and the bar was full. The wait staff was very helpful without being overbearing, which is a huge plus. I ordered the Carrot-Ginger soup and Sichuan Pastrami Sandwich. First, it was quite obvious everything was prepared very fresh, down to the ketchup. The soup was simply great. The soup would work well any time of year, but was very satisfying without being too rich or spicy (in the ginger sense). I found the portion size just right. My meal was hot and the presentation was very good. There was obvious attention to detail with the placement of a herbed butter on top with a few crackers to the side. The dish was just as clean as the restaurant. Secondly, the Sichuan Pastrami easily ranks in one of the best sandwiches I have had, not just in OKC. The bread was made fresh and the pastrami was not too fatty. The sandwich came with pickled granny smith apples and Russian dressing. I ordered the dressing on the side, but I would have ordered it on the sandwich next time. The sweetness and tart of the apples provide a great contrast to the pastrami and the dressing does not overpower either. The sandwich was great... for lack of a better superlative. One of my favorite parts of the meal were the sides. The homemade fries, homemade ketchup, and homemade pickle were outstanding. In particular, the ketchup was quite good. The meal was served on a plank with parchment paper over the top, again attention was paid to detail as the presentation was just a good as the meal. I will be a repeat customer here, many times.

This was our first time visiting Packards. Although my husband and I are very critical when it comes to 3.5 stared restaurants we went ahead and tried it. Saturday/Sunday they serve brunch. When we got there there were only three tables. We ordered one eggs Benedict and one biscuits and gravy. After we ordered the wait was so long! 45 min for brunch with no one in the restaurant is ridiculous! When the plates came out they were the wrong table. She left one eggs Benedict for my husband grabbed the other plate from in front of me and served it to the next table. A big big NO NO! So we waited and waited more! After about 10 min my husband sent his plate back... When they brought my plate they brought his same plate out which was cold... So he sent it back for another one. We didn't end up eating together bc we didn't want my plate to get cold. At the end there really wasn't an I'm sorry or anything to make it better. Although the food was a 4/5 the service needs help!

Overpriced, dull food. Paying extra for someone's epicurean flop is not my idea of a good dining experience. Whatever new American means....service? what's that? some stuck up punk who thinks bringing water or asking if everything is ok is below them....go anywhere else.

This was our first time here. I ordered the lamb which was tough and the vegetables were cold. Our friend ordered the short ribs were mostly fat. I did replace the lamb dish with the ground sirloin burger which was quite good. But the onion rings (which came with it) were cold. We won't be back to this restaurant. There are too many others which are much better.

I went to Packard's for brunch, and I thought it was one of the best places I've been to in OKC. It's a beautiful restaurant, the service is great, the prices are reasonable, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning!

First off I love the atmosphere! Everything is so creative and well thought out from the bar down to the cloth napkins on the table. The staff was very nice and our server was very attentive and friendly. I got the grouper sandwich with the Brussel sprout salad. The grouper was amazing. Seriously the best sandwich I've had. My husband got the ribeye burger with fries and he absolutely loved it. I highly recommend and we will be back...soon!
